About Libra Kaplan, AMFT
Hi, I'm Libra. I'm an associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#157382) and HeartMath Certified Practitioner offering creative psychotherapy that bridges mind, body, heart, and soul. I work with women, couples, and groups who are tired of carrying trauma, shame, overwhelm, and disconnection, and need a safe space to unravel the layers so they can heal and grow. Sometimes it’s about starting all over. At other times, there is deep grief and loss that must be held and witnessed. Whether you are facing a new direction in mid-life, struggling with your relationships, coping with the pain of a loved one with dementia, or seeking strategies for regulating your nervous system—wherever you land on this spectrum, know that you are welcome here.

I use a holistic, integrated approach that is trauma-informed, attachment based, depth-oriented, and strength-based. In addition to talk therapy, I incorporate neuroscience-based tools, creative arts interventions, and intuitive dream wisdom. Sessions may also include somatic and emotional regulation skills so you can start experiencing greater safety and resilience. HeartMath tools continue to support my own growth and I love sharing them with clients because they are simple yet quite powerful.
In my previous career as an interior designer for nearly twenty years, I learned to see themes underneath what was being said. Walking alongside my clients during distress, when their homes were in upheaval and everything was messy and anxiety-provoking, one of the many hats I wore was that of a vision holder and honest and trustworthy guide. These are skills I carry over into my work as a creative therapist.
Please reach out to see if we might be a good fit.
