EMDR THERAPY & COACHING
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy and coaching is specifically designed to help individuals desensitize and reprocess traumatic experiences. It involves the use of eye movements or bilateral stimulation to help clients access and process past memories, beliefs, and emotions associated with trauma.
Trauma — or what might also be called “extreme overwhelm” — can look different for everyone. Essentially, our brain becomes so overwhelmed during an experience that we don’t know how to make sense of our feelings. As a result of trauma, we might develop coping strategies that we carry into other areas of life. EMDR can help you process these traumatic experiences and create new strategies moving forward.
It’s important to note that EMDR is just one intervention in our trauma-informed toolkit — it’s not always the right option for every client. We prioritize creating a safe and calm environment for our clients and tailor our methods to your unique needs.
